Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In this role, Fisher is in charge of covering all things including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the space industry and worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time, she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the pandemic of coronavirus. Kristin travelled frequently, and both with the president and vice president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
